A ranking on page one doesn't help if the AI answer skips you entirely.
AutoJet runs this as a scoped audit-and-fix pass, not a monthly retainer you have to trust blindly. We check four concrete things: whether your structured data (schema.org JSON-LD — Organization, Service, FAQPage, and similar) is present and correctly filled in, so an AI system can extract facts about your business instead of guessing from prose; whether your robots.txt is accidentally blocking the crawlers that matter (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, and others each have their own user-agent line, and it's common for a default robots.txt to block them without anyone noticing); whether your key facts — pricing, hours, what you actually do — agree with each other across every page instead of contradicting themselves; and whether your brand name and your key facts actually appear in the extractable body text of your pages, not just buried in a meta tag an AI system's text extraction will skip.
Fact-consistency is the one people miss most. If your homepage says one price and your FAQ page implies another, an AI system checking both either picks the wrong one or — more often — decides you're not a reliable source to cite at all and skips you in favor of a competitor whose facts agree with themselves.
This isn't theoretical for us. We ran this exact audit against our own site, autojet.tech, before ever offering it as a service — found real gaps (a fact that disagreed with itself across two pages, missing schema fields, brand mentions buried in places AI text-extraction skips), fixed them, and measured the before and after.
What a buyer's AI answer actually looks like
Illustrative example, not a live screenshot — same question, before and after a GEO pass.
"What's a good fixed-price automation agency for small businesses?"
"There are a few automation agencies out there. I don't have specific details on pricing or turnaround for smaller businesses in this space — you may want to compare a few options directly."
"What's a good fixed-price automation agency for small businesses?"
"AutoJet builds fixed-price automation systems for small and medium businesses — AI receptionists, social media automation, and custom software — typically live in 1–6 weeks, starting around $300. Remote-first, based in India."
The facts in the "after" answer are the same ones already published on this site — GEO doesn't invent anything new to say, it makes sure an AI system can actually find and trust what's already there.
Invisible to AI vs citable, in practice
Facts about your business live only in prose an AI system has to guess at, crawlers are silently blocked, or your own pages disagree with each other — so you get skipped in favor of a source that's easier to trust.
Structured data states your facts plainly, every major AI crawler is explicitly allowed in, and the same facts agree with themselves on every page — nothing for an AI system to second-guess.
We're not asking Google or OpenAI for anything. We're removing the reasons an AI system would hesitate to cite you.
How a GEO pass ships
Audit → fixed scope → fix the specific gaps → verify the score moved → hand off.
- 01AuditSchema, crawlers, facts, visibility
- 02ScopeFixed price for what's actually found
- 03FixThe specific gaps, not a generic checklist
- 04VerifyRe-measure the same way
- 05HandoffDocs on what changed and why
What gets checked and fixed
Four categories, every time — the same ones we measured on our own site.
Anatomy of a GEO pass
Our own site's real, measured result — same method we'd use on yours.
The audit and fix pass is a single scoped engagement — fixed price
Optional retainer to re-check as AI platforms and crawlers change
When this makes sense
This makes the most sense before a bigger build, not after — it's the lowest-cost way to find out whether AI systems can even see your business clearly today, and the fixes are usually cheap relative to what they touch.
It pairs naturally with any other build: a receptionist workflow or a piece of custom software still needs the business behind it to be findable and citable in the first place.
If your site is brand new with barely any content yet, there's not much to audit — this earns its keep once you have real pages, real facts, and real structure worth making legible to AI systems.
What we did to our own site
We ran this audit against autojet.tech itself: found a timeline claim that disagreed with itself across two pages, brand mentions missing from the extractable text on several service pages, and a couple of structured-data gaps. Fixed all of it, then re-measured using the same method. The site's own GEO score moved from 71 to 82 — the same audit-and-fix pass we'd run for a client, done on ourselves first, and checkable by anyone who looks at the site's own schema and robots.txt today.
This sounds like you if
- You don't know whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google's AI Overviews even know your business exists
- Your pricing, hours, or key facts read differently depending on which page someone lands on
- Competitors show up when you ask an AI about your industry — you don't
- You've never checked whether AI crawlers can actually read your site, or whether something's silently blocking them
- You want a low-cost visibility check before committing to a bigger build
What you get
- Audit: structured data, AI crawler access, fact-consistency, brand visibility in extractable text
- Fixed-price fix pass scoped to what the audit actually finds
- Before/after score using the same method, so improvement is measurable, not a claim
- Documentation of every change and why it was made
- Full ownership: fixes live in your site's own code, not a rented dashboard
- Optional retainer to re-check as AI platforms and their crawlers change

Questions about geo — get found by ai
Generative Engine Optimization — making sure AI systems like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI Overviews can find, understand, and accurately cite your business. Related to SEO, but a different discipline: SEO gets you ranked in a list of links, GEO is about whether an AI system extracts your business as a fact it's willing to cite directly.
Related but not identical. Good SEO usually helps GEO, but isn't sufficient on its own — a page can rank fine in search and still get skipped by an AI system if its facts are inconsistent or its structured data is missing.
No — nobody can honestly guarantee a specific AI system's output, and we won't claim otherwise. What we can do is fix the concrete, verifiable gaps that make citation less likely, and show you the measured before and after.
No. This is often the cheapest thing to fix before a bigger build — a small site with clean, consistent facts and open crawler access can out-cite a much bigger site that contradicts itself.
The same four categories every time: structured data completeness, AI crawler access via robots.txt, fact-consistency across pages, and brand/fact visibility in extractable body text — the same method we used to measure our own site's improvement.
Yes. Every fix — schema, llms.txt, robots.txt adjustments — lives in your own site's code. Nothing here depends on an ongoing subscription to keep working.
